Corrections policy

We welcome clear, evidence-based reports about inaccurate or outdated information. This policy explains what to send, how we review a report and how confirmed errors are corrected.

Our commitment to accurate information

Visa and entry rules affect real travel decisions, so material errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Visit-TZ reviews credible reports without regard to whether a correction is commercially convenient.

Independent-service disclosure

Visit-TZ is an independent information and optional visa-assistance service. We do not make immigration decisions and cannot change a decision issued by an authority.

How to report a possible error

Use the contact page and provide enough information for the editorial team to locate and assess the issue.

  • The complete URL of the affected page
  • The heading, paragraph, table row or statement in question
  • A short explanation of why it may be wrong or outdated
  • A link, document or screenshot supporting the correction
  • The date you accessed the supporting information
  • Your contact details if you would like a response

What happens after a report

  1. We identify the claim. The team locates the reported wording and checks whether the same claim appears on related pages.
  2. We assess the evidence. We compare the report with suitable primary or authoritative source material.
  3. We determine the impact. We consider whether the issue could change a traveler’s eligibility, documents, fees, timing, application route or entry decision.
  4. We make the correction. Confirmed errors are rewritten clearly, and connected links, tables or structured data are updated where necessary.
  5. We complete quality checks. The changed page is reviewed for internal consistency, accessibility, metadata and technical integrity.
  6. We update the review record. A material correction receives a new substantive review date and may include a clarification when readers would benefit from it.

How reports are prioritized

We prioritize issues by their likely effect on travelers, not simply by the order in which they arrive.

PriorityExamplesEditorial response
UrgentIncorrect eligibility, referral status, entry restriction, fee or safety-critical requirementReview as soon as practicable and limit or remove unsupported wording while verification is underway.
MaterialWrong document, application step, validity period, processing expectation or important broken linkVerify and correct promptly, including affected related pages.
MinorTypographical, formatting, grammar or presentation issue that does not change meaningCorrect during routine maintenance or sooner when straightforward.
Difference of interpretationA reasonable wording preference without a factual errorReview for clarity; a change may be made even when no formal correction is required.

Material corrections and minor edits

A material correction changes information that could influence a traveler’s decision or action. Examples include a nationality category, visa fee, required document, permitted activity or entry condition.

A minor edit improves spelling, grammar, layout or readability without changing the substance. Minor edits generally do not require a correction note or a new substantive review date.

Checking the correction across the website

When a confirmed error could appear elsewhere, we search related guides, FAQs, tables, application explanations, structured data and AMP pages. The goal is to correct the underlying information consistently rather than repair only the reported sentence.

Correction notes and transparency

For significant changes, we may add a brief note explaining what was corrected and when. We do not preserve a public log for every spelling or formatting edit, but we maintain clear review dates for substantive editorial work.

We do not silently change a material claim merely to conceal an error. Where a visible explanation would help readers understand an important change, we provide one in plain language.

Responses and limitations

Contact details help us request clarification and acknowledge useful reports, but we cannot guarantee an individual response or a specific resolution time. Complex or newly announced rules can require additional verification.

A disagreement with an immigration decision is not an editorial correction. Applicants should follow the review, appeal or contact route provided by the relevant authority.

Privacy when reporting an error

Do not send full passport scans, payment-card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information in an editorial report. If an example is needed, redact personal data before sending it.

Information submitted through the contact process is handled according to our privacy policy.
