Visit-TZ publishes practical visa and entry guidance for travelers planning a visit to mainland Tanzania or Zanzibar. Our goal is to make complex requirements easier to understand without overstating certainty or replacing a decision made by immigration authorities.

Editorial principles

How we choose and use sources

For visa, immigration, health and entry information, we prioritize primary and authoritative material. Typical sources include immigration departments, ministries, embassies, consulates, airport or port authorities and legislation or formal notices where available.

Secondary sources may help identify a change or explain traveler experiences, but they do not replace an authoritative source for a legal or entry requirement. When sources conflict, we avoid presenting an uncertain claim as settled fact and seek confirmation before making a material update.

Writing and fact-checking workflow

1. Define the traveler question. We identify the nationality, visa purpose, destination and decision the page needs to explain.
2. Gather source material. We review relevant primary guidance and record the details that support important claims.
3. Draft for comprehension. We explain the rule in original language, remove repetition and provide context where readers commonly make mistakes.
4. Check critical facts. Eligibility, fees, validity, processing expectations, required documents and entry limitations receive focused review.
5. Review links and page signals. We check internal links, titles, descriptions, canonicals, structured data and visible disclosures.
6. Publish and monitor. The page receives a review date and is reassessed when a material change is identified.

Authorship and review responsibility

Pages may be written or maintained by the Visit-TZ editorial team. The responsible team reviews the final page for readability, internal consistency and alignment with cited or recorded source material.

We do not invent professional credentials, government access, endorsements or first-hand experience. Where an individual author or specialist reviewer is named, the description should reflect a real and relevant role.

Review dates and content updates

A visible review or modification date shows when a page last received meaningful editorial attention. Changing a date without reviewing the substance is not an acceptable update.

Software or AI-assisted tools may support research organization, drafting, translation, formatting, link checks or quality assurance. They do not replace editorial responsibility. Material claims must still be reviewed against appropriate sources before publication.
